cbradio

More than 30 years ago.....CB-Radio...  for me and my friends.

In Germany the CB radio System started with 6 Ch and 2 Watt input. Later they got 12 Channels and 0,5 Watt out. A few years later the law changed again and now ....I think...they are allowed to use 80 Ch, FM and 4 Watt output.

Well, I left the CB when it became legal.....so, all this things are not my time. We had a very good time with the sunspot before and worked nearly all continents and every country around the world.

For us...20 years ago...only one transceiver was good for us:

SOMMERKAMP. This products were made as a kind of early OEM products from the YAESU Musen factory in Japan. SOMMERKAMP was the name for highest quality in CB radio equipment over the years. As far as I know...Mr. Sommerkamp is still alive and spend his time in Tenerife island. Again...many thanks for giving us this radios.

The mode we used was most time AM or SSB; the antennas were most time 1/2 L. or 5/8L. Groundplanes.
